Research Interests: My current research involves two main areas: continuing development of spiral MRI pulse sequences, and evaluating the clinical usability of these sequences. Spiral MRI has been in existence for decades, but has received an increased interest lately due to continuing advances in MRI gradient hardware. I am currently working on improving reconstruction for spiral Dixon fat/water separation methods, and combining spiral pulse sequences with parallel imaging technologies such as SENSE. Additionally, I am working with radiologists to evaluate the clinical utility of spiral sequences and develop protocols and proper parameters to optimally image different parts of the body.
