The polymeric micelles can selectively deliver hydrophobic drugs, such as doxorubicin, to angiogenic tumor endothelial cells with over-expressed avb3 integrins. a cyclic pentapeptide cRGD was attached as an avb3 ligand to DOTA connected poly(e-caprolactone)-poly(ethylene glycol) (PCL-PEG) micelles. We radiolabeled this polymeric micelles with 111In. The high radiochemical yields and radiochemical purity were obtained. The preliminary experiments in vivo evaluation in tumor mouse and normal mouse were performed by micro-SPECT/CT.
