Research Interests:
My major research interest is in developing radiolabeled enzyme inhibitor and neuroreceptor ligand for measuring it’s expression in vivo for utilizing positron emission tomography (PET), This research area has a lot room for development, and there is a great prospects for synthesizing new imaging tracers that will be very useful in diagnose and treatment disease of the cancer and neuronal systems.
My fields of specialty are radiochemistry and organic synthesis, with emphasis on preparation of PET radiopharmaceuticals with the isotopes of 18F for the diagnoses and treatment. Conducting the basic chemical research for attaching various radioisotopes to biologically active molecules, such as receptors, enzyme, with the hope of developing new diagnostic agents for nuclear medicine. Research in these areas involve radiochemistry, organic synthesis, chemical and biochemical stability studies and a wide variety of analytical and chemical separation techniques.
